# Tokens Needed

Cronos ID is operated on the Cronos blockchain. You will need two types of tokens to interact with our platform:

* **$CRO tokens**
  * $CRO tokens are needed pay transaction fees on Cronos ID and other Cronos applications
  * They can also be used to pay for our domain subscription
* **$CROID tokens**

  * $CROID tokens are Cronos ID's native tokens and they are our main rewards/incentive tokens
  * Users can also pay for our domain subscription using $CROID
